Design Engineer

Have been a part of the Environmental Control Systems (ECS) group providing lateral services to most of IAI branches, in my time there I had been a major part of the G-200 (Galaxy) aircraft qualification to FAR25 in record time, has been one of the very first CFD analysist in IAI (using Fluent), and been a part of numerous projects from ECS, harness and tubing design and all other applications of heat and mass transfer in airborne applications.

Thermal Task Leader

Was a part of the thermal design team, in my time there I had overseen the first ECS system in the company for LOROP systems, including the design and implementation of a unique ram air-driven microturbine air conditioning unit, CFD analysis, and testing.

Design Engineer

As the lead design engineer of the company, in my time there I had designed, built, qualified and mass-produced heat exchangers & cold plates for Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, L3 Comm, and more, but am still very proud to say I was part of the SOFIA project. I have introduced and assimilated CAD and ERP systems and added FEA & FV analysis capabilities to the company.

I oversaw the company’s entrance to field of ruggedized HVAC systems for military applications

Mechanical Engineer, Group Head

As head of mechanical engineering group I had touched all its complex products of the time. Including INS systems, DVR's, and many more, dealing with extremely demanding challenges of electronic packaging, PCB design, optical, sensors in their applications.

I have introduced and assimilated CAD, CAM and ERP systems, and became a fan of some aspects of the PMBOK methodology there.

R&D Head

As the head of R&D, I led the company from an early concept to a working solar CPV& CHP field.  I managed the R&D activities: mechanical, optical, electrical, software and PM, including outsourced efforts and Operations.

Major highlights include a unique cooling solution that enabled the operation of photovoltaic cells at a solar concentration of 800X, and the development of a low cost, mass production-ready solar tracking system with adaptive & corrective capabilities.

Co-founder, VP R&D

Co-founder / VP R&D / Engineering.
With my partner at the time, Yuval Berson, we founded and lead an exceptionally lean  company that developed a hybrid solar air conditioner that has broken records of efficiency.

Powered by low grade heat & electricity we have developed from scratch a scroll expander (ORC) mechanically coupled to a scroll compressor, the complex controls allowing it to work with a solar heat as a source, and a full-sized HVAC application it powered keeping in mind DFM,DTC and lifecycle system requirements. Beyond the technical, I was a part of all DD process, board member and so much more.

Mentor

Unistream’s business community is a key component of the program’s success. Our volunteer businesspeople connects the teens directly to the business world and provide access to a vast universe of knowledge and experience. Unistream volunteers' mentor and coach the teens, lead workshops in their fields of expertise, host the teens at their companies, and provide unique opportunities. The benefit is mutual – Unistream teens gain direct access to role models and mentors, and volunteers are making a real difference in the teens’ lives.

Volunteer

I am a firm believer that great education starts with reading and expending your mind. As a Science Fiction and Fantasy enthusiast reader (at one time I owned more then 4000 physical  SF&F books), I further believe that SF&F educates even better than most other literary genres. I served as the Chair of The Geffen award (the only literature award for SF&F in Hebrew) for 4 years and am now a Geffen committee member. In the future, I have some plans I would like to implement through the Israeli Society for SF&F, which will keep pushing the genre, reading & education in Hebrew forward.
